Mukilteo Movies in the Park: The Mukilteo Chamber of Commerce will show the movie “The Secret Life of Pets” Aug. 23 at the Rosehill Community Center plaza, 304 Lincoln Ave., Mukilteo. Bring lawn chairs and blankets. Free. Refreshments will be sold.

Everett’s Sail-In Cinema: Friday evenings at dusk through Aug. 25 at Boxcar Park, 1200 Millwright Loop W., on the Everett waterfront. Sail in to watch by boat or bring a low-back chair and blanket to watch from the park. Gates open at 7 p.m. Admission is free. The remaining schedule includes “Zootopia” on Aug. 18 and “Top Gun” on Aug. 25. More at www.waterfront-place.com/sailin. Free.

Lake Stevens Movies in the Park: At dusk Aug. 25 in Lundeen Park, 10020 Lundeen Parkway, the city will show “Moana.” Free.

Stanley Kubrick Film Series: “A Clockwork Orange” will be shown at noon Aug. 30 at the Evergreen Branch Library, 9512 Evergreen Way, Everett. Free.

“Castle in the Sky”: The Hayao Miyazaki animated feature will be screened at 12:55 p.m. Aug. 27 and 7 p.m. Aug. 28 at Everett Mall, Alderwood and Thornton Place. The adventure is about Sheeta, a young girl with a mysterious crystal pendant, who falls out of the sky and into the arms and life of young Pazu. Together they search for a floating island, the site of a long-dead civilization promising enormous wealth and power to those who can unlock its secrets. But greedy pirates, spies and the army are also all in hot pursuit. The English-dubbed cast includes the vocal talents of Anna Paquin, James Van Der Beek, Cloris Leachman, Mark Hamill, Mandy Patinkin and Jim Cummings.

Sno-King Meaningful Movies: “The Mask You Live In” will be shown at 7 p.m. Sept. 16 at Edmonds Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 8109 224th St. SW, Edmonds. The documentary by Jennifer Siebel Newsom explores what she sees as the harmful notions of masculinity in American culture.
