“Over the River and Through the Woods”: This comedy by Joe DiPietro is offered by Phoenix Theatre at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday, through May 3, at 9673 Firdale Ave. N., Edmonds. The cast includes J. Woody Lotts, Larry Albert, Micheal McFadden, Susan Conner and Rebekah Dawn. The story is about Nick, a single, Italian-American guy from New Jersey. “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum”: Sondheim satire at its best, this is the musical tale of a slave who attempts to win his freedom by helping his young master woo the girl next door. That is, if he can keep his story straight. The show features such songs as “Comedy Tonight” and “Everybody Ought to Have a Maid.” Edmonds Driftwood Players perform at 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday, Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday, through May 10, at the Wade James Theatre, 950 Main St., Edmonds. “Mary Poppins”: The Broadway musical will be performed with a live orchestra by the Marysville Pilchuck High School drama club at 7:30 p.m. May 1 and 2 in the MPHS auditiorium. Tickets, available at the door at 7 p.m., are $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors.
Agatha Christie’s “The Mousetrap”: Arlington Highland Christian School presents the murder mystery at 7 p.m. May 1 and 2 at the Red Curtain Foundation, 1410 Grove St. in Marysville. Tickets are $5 for students and seniors, and $7 for adults. The story involves eight people trapped in a guest house by a snow storm. The last arrival is a police officer sent by headquarters to protect the people from a murderer, who is already there.
“Angel Street”: Grace Academy presents the Patrick Hamilton mystery at 7:30 p.m. May 7, 8 and 9 in Building E at the school, 8521 67th Ave. NE, Marysville. Tickets are $8 at the door.
“Fame”: Lake Stevens High School presents the musical at 6:30 p.m. May 1 at the school’s performing arts center, 2908 113th Ave. Tickets are $5 to $10.
“The Addams Family”: The musical comedy is presented by Glacier Peak High School at 7 p.m. May 1 and 2 and 7 p.m. May 2 at the school, 7401 144th Place SE, Snohomish. Ticket prices range from $10 to $15 and can be purchased in advance from brownpapertickets.com.
“West Side Story”: Mariner High School presents the Stephen Sondheim/Leonard Bernstein musical based on the story of Romeo and Juliet at 7 p.m. May 1, 2, 7 and 8, with a 2 p.m. matinee on May 5 at the school. Tickets are available at the door an hour before curtain. Tickets range from $5 to $10.
“Little Shop of Horrors”: Kamiak High School presents the comedy rock musical at 7 p.m. May 1, 2, 8 and 9, with a 2 p.m. matinee also on May 9. Tickets prices range from $10 to $15. All seats are reserved and are now on sale at the school office or on the school’s website.
“Footloose”: Meadowdale High School presents the musical at 7 p.m. May 1 and 2 and 7 p.m. May 2 at the school’s Black Box Theater, 6002 168th St. SW, Lynnwood.
“No Way to Treat a Lady”: Village Theatre’s production plays the Everett Performing Arts Center May 1 through 24. Steve Tomkins directs and RJ Tancioco, who grew up in Mountlake Terrace, is the music director.
