“Lather, Rinse, Repeat”: OutCast Productions offers a staged reading of local playwright Dana Linn’s new musical, a hair-raising adventure, revolving around a parody of a gal from the south, who owns her own beauty salon and is stuck in the past. Performances at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14, 15 and 21 and at 2 p.m. Nov. 16. Tickets are $12 and are available by credit card through Brown Paper Tickets or can be reserved and paid for at the door by cash or check with an email to ocp@whidbey.com. “In the Heights”: Village Theatre brings this Tony award-winning hip hop musical with a salsa beat to the Everett Performing Arts Center through Nov. 23. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, 8 p.m. Fridays, 2 and 8 p.m. Saturdays, 2 and 7 p.m. Sundays with an additional matinee on Nov. 20. Tickets range from $30 to $62. “Rex’s Exes”: This funny, Southern-fried farce by the Reunion Theatre Group is 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday through Nov. 16 at the Everett Music Hall Playhouse in the Macy’s hallway at the Everett Mall. “Madam’s Been Murdered, Tea Will Be Late”: Performances of the comedy are at 5 p.m. Nov. 20, 6 p.m. Nov. 21 and 7 p.m. Nov. 22 in the Darrington High School Auditorium. Tickets are $5 at the door. Refreshments at intermission.

“The Nerd”: Lake Stevens High School presents the Larry Shue comedy at 7 p.m. Nov. 14, 15, 21 and 22 in the Performing Arts Center, 2908 113th Ave. NE, Lake Stevens. Tickets are $10, $8 for ASB students and $5 for seniors and children.

“The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza”: Glacier Peak High School performs this piece, with battling narrators attempt to cover the entirety of Greek mythology using audience participation, cross-dressing and general theatrical insanity, at 7 p.m. Nov 14, 15, 21 and 22. “The Man Outside”: Everett Community College students will perform this dark drama at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 20-22 and Dec. 4-6 in EvCC’s Baker Hall, Room 120. In the play, a German soldier named Beckmann confronts the aftermath of war when he returns to his hometown in 1946. Children age 5 and younger may not attend. Admission is by donation.
