“Christmas Belles”: The Reunion Theatre Group presents a holiday comedy on weekends through Nov. 10. at the Everett Music Hall Playhouse. Three Texas sisters wrangle over the annual Christmas pageant. Performances are at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. Single tickets are $10 to $13 and $8 for groups of eight or more. “Xanadu”: The Village Theatre presents the Broadway musical through Nov. 17 at Everett Performing Arts Center, 2710 Wetmore, Everett. “Bright Ideas”: The Phoenix Theatre presents this comedy through Nov. 10. A couple will do just about anything to get their 3-year-old into the “right” preschool. “The House of Yes”: The newly formed Whidbey Theatre Freaks presents this black comedy Nov. 7 to 17 at the Black Box Theatre at Island County Fair Grounds, 819 Camano Ave., Langley. A dysfunctional family gathers for Thanksgiving 1983. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and 4 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $12 to $16 at brownpapertickets.com, or at the door. “Anything Goes”: The Cole Porter classic, recently redone on Broadway, runs through Nov. 3 at The 5th Avenue Theatre. The ’30s musical features a shipful of lovers and liars singing, dancing and scheming to such tunes as “You’re the Top,” “I Get a Kick Out of You,” “It’s De-Lovely” and “Anything Goes.” Performances are Tuesdays through Sundays with tickets from $29 to $109.75 at www.5thavenue.org or 206-625-1900. “An Evening with Master Irish Fiddler, Kevin Burke”: Burke entertains Nov. 6 at Teatro ZinZanni along with dancer Sandy Silva and guitarist Cal Scott. Tickets are $25 and $30. “Sugar Daddies”: Famed English playwright Alan Ayckbourn directs the American premiere of his play at ACT Theatre through Nov. 3. The dark comedy takes on Faustian characteristics when a naive young woman gets entangled with an older man. “Much Ado About Nothing”: The Seattle Shakespeare Company presents Shakespeare’s comic and romantic play through Nov. 17 at the Center Theatre at Seattle Center. 305 Harrison St. This version, however, is set on the Riviera in the ’50s with original music by Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra’s Michael Brockman and a water-filled lagoon in the theater. Performances are Wednesdays through Saturdays and selected Sundays. Tickets are $25 to $48 at the Seattle Shakespeare Company box office, 206-733-8222, or www.seattleshakespeare.org.

David Sedaris: touring since the publication of his latest book, “Let’s Explore Diabetes with Owls,” humorist David Sedaris will read from and sign copies of his book at 8 p.m. Nov. 11 at Benaroya Hall.
