Magic show: Illusionist and magician Christian Ford will perform at 8 p.m. Oct. 18 and 19 at The Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave. Tickets are $20 general, $15 for adults; military, children under 12 and seniors 62 and older. “Pippi Longstocking: The Family Musical:” The Seattle Children’s Theatre performs the play about a young girl with no school, no parents and no rules through Nov. 3 at the Charlotte Martin Theatre, 201 Thomas St., Seattle. Performances are at various times, including some shows at 11:30 a.m., matinees at 2 p.m. and evening shows at 7 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. Tickets are $15 to $29 for kids and $15 to $36 for adults at www.sct.org.

“Dot &Ziggy”: A ladybug and a skunk learn to get along with the help of a wise spider in this interactive play running through Nov. 24 at the Seattle Children’s Theatre. “Little Red Riding Hood”: A free performance of the children’s classic will be presented at 11 a.m. and 2 and 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 27 at Molbak’s, 13625 NE 175th St., Woodinville. ASL interpreters will sign the show at 4 p.m. Oct. 27. The professional production is appropriate for elementary-school-aged children. Donations will be collected for Sarvey Wildlife Care Center.

The Kaddywompas Radio Show: Tim Noah and the Kaddywompas Players present episode 6, “The Ghost of Kaddywompas,” at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 19 and 2 p.m. Oct. 20 at the Tim Noah Thumbnail Theater, 1211 Fourth St., Snohomish. The gang sees a ghost in the potato patch, and guest Richard Fynn entertains with Halloween songs and ghostly tales. Come in costume and you may win a prize. “Chicken Little”: The sky is falling and Chicken Little must hurry to the palace to inform the king, gathering a gang of excitable friends along the way. The professional cast is all adults. Performances are at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Nov. 3 at the PUD auditorium, 2320 California St., Everett. Tickets are $10 for everyone over age 1, available at www.storybooktheater.org.

“Tambourine Submarine”: A deserted-island compendium, suitable for kids, will be presented on selected weekends from Oct. 19 through Dec. 5 at Teatro ZinZanni, 222 Mercer St., Seattle. Performers include Recess Moneky, Seattle ballerina Ariana Lallone and dinner show trapeze aerialists Ben Wendel and Rachel Nehmer of Duo Madrona. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. and the show runs from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Oct. 19, 20, 26, 27, Nov. 3, 9, 17, 24 and Dec. 7, 14 and 15. “Empowering Women: Artisan Cooperatives that Transform Communities”: This traveling exhibit provides a look at the work of 10 women-run artisan cooperatives from across the world, featuring personal stories and examples of the cooperatives’ handmade traditional arts; www.burkemuseum.org.

“Dinosaurs: A Journey Through Time”: Explore the Mesozoic Era (248 to 65 million years ago) through eight robotic dinosaurs that move and roar. Among the dinobots are the meat-eater Tyrannosaurus Rex, the “tyrant lizard king,” who was more than 50 feet long. Pacific Science Center, 200 Second Ave. N., Seattle; www.pacificsciencecenter.org. Admission is $18 general, $16 seniors, $13 for kids 6 to 15, $10 for chldren 3 to 5.
