Pacific Northwest Ballet: In this enduring story, PNB focuses on the ballet’s theme of love lost and love found as the fairy tale “Cinderella” unfolds after a nine-year hiatus with music by Prokofiev and choreography by Kent Stowell, who unveils 100 elaborate costumes, misty landscapes and a royal Rococo-finished palace where Cinderalla and her prince unite in a moment of true romance. “Cinderella” opens at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 4 with shows at various times through Feb. 13 at McCaw Hall, 321 Mercer St., Seattle. “The Barber of Seville”: Rossini’s comic romp is funny, full of tricks and fast-paced, starting out with a well recognized overture and ending with a joyful finale. “The Barber of Seville” wraps up this weekend with performances at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 28 and 29 at McCaw Hall, 321 Mercer St., Seattle. “A Night of Surprises”: Reunion Theatre Group is presenting an evening of two one-act plays, two revue sketches by Harold Pinter and local recording artist and performer Steve Mason, who will perform during opening weekend. “Anne of Green Gables”: Based on Lucy Maud Montgomery’s classic stories of the feisty adopted girl who wins over all the folks in Avonlea on Prince Edward Island with her sunny attitude. “Da”: This Irish comedy by Hugh Leonard and directed by Eric Lewis follows Charlie home after his father’s funeral where he discovers his father’s ghost refusing to leave the house. The show runs at 8 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays Feb. 4 through Feb. 27 at the Phoenix Theatre, 9673 Firdale Ave., Edmonds. “Miracle Worker”: In this story of hope presented by the Driftwood Players, a young blind, deaf and mute Helen Keller has the world unlocked for her through the persistence and love of her tutor Annie Sullivan. Shows are 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays Feb. 4 to Feb. 20 at the Wade James Theater, 950 Main St., Edmonds. Tickets are $23 and $20. “The Other Side of the Closet”: The setting is a high school where five teens grapple with issues of gang violence, gay phobia and peer pressure. The show opens at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 4 and runs two weekends with shows at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 5, 11 and 12 and 2 p.m. Feb. 6 and 13 at Whidbey Children’s Theatre, 222 Anthes Ave., Langley. “Chamber Cymbeline”: Seattle Shakespeare Co., presents this stream-lined version of the original story about banished Princess Imogen who is exiled after being falsely accused of adultery, but perseveres in a harrowing journey to clear her good name. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Jan. 30 at Center House Theatre, 305 Harrison St., Seattle. “Go, Dog, Go!”: Dogs sing and dance in this fetching play at the Seattle Children’s Theatre in this production based on the P.D. Eastman book. Lily Tomlin: The comic legend does a selection of her most beloved characters including Edith Ann, Ernestine the Phone Lady and Mrs. Beasley in two performances of “The Best of Lily Tomlin” at the 5th Avenue Theatre. “The Odyssey”: Mosey along with Odysseus as he meets the many muses and monsters in Homer’s epic, which opens Feb. 2 and runs through March 5 at the Taproot Theatre.
