Edmonds Center for the Arts celebrates its fifth season with a star-studded and varied lineup of musicians, comedians, actors and dancers.
Kicking off the 2011-2012 calendar is the former star of “Laugh In” and Emmy-, Grammy- and Tony-winning Lily Tomlin. (She also was nominated for an Oscar for her role in Robert Altman’s 1975 classic “Nashville.” The winner that year was Lee Grant in “Shampoo.”)
Other highlights from the season include Christopher Cross, ukelele master Jake Shimaburko and folk singer Arlo Guthrie.
“We wouldn’t be here without the support of the Edmonds community,” Edmonds Center for the Arts executive director Joe McIalwain said in a press release. “We are providing a unique experience by bringing artists to our stage that usually don’t play an intimate space like ours.”
The auditorium holds about 700 people.
Most performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale July 1 and prices will be available then.
Purchase tickets at www.ec4arts.org or by calling 425-275-9595.
