Steve Martin with the Steep Canyon Rangers: No joke, this comedy icon is touring with a bluegrass band.

Martin, who made his career by being a wild and crazy guy, is also a genius on the banjo.

He released in 2009 “Crow: New Songs for the Five-String Banjo.” The album won the Grammy for best bluegrass album later that year, and serves as the basis for his summer tour.

7 p.m. Saturday, Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery, 14111 NE 145th St., Woodinville; $49.50 to $75; ticketmaster.com or 800-745-3000.

Drake: Days after releasing his hotly anticipated debut album, the Canadian musician is headlining this year’s KUBE 93 Summer Jam.

“Thank Me Later” came out in stores on Tuesday and seems destined to top the charts.

The disc includes a virtual who’s who of the rap and R&B world, including guest appearances by Lil Wayne, Jay Z and Alicia Keys.

All those stars won’t join Drake tonight in Auburn. Instead, the Summer Jam will include appearances by Trey Songs, Rick Ross, Fabolous, Game and Jason Derulo.

6 tonight, White River Amphitheatre, 40601 Auburn Enumclaw Road, Auburn; $32.50 to $86; ticketmaster.com or 800-745-3000.

Iron Maiden: Heavy metal isn’t going away anytime soon, as Iron Maiden can attest.

The English rock band released its latest album, “Flight 666,” last summer.

The group is now headlining amphitheaters across the country, playing the hits that helped it sell millions of albums in the 1980s.

7:30 p.m. Tuesday, White River Amphitheatre, 40601 Auburn Enumclaw Road, Auburn; $31 to $81; ticketmaster.com or 800-745-3000.

Slightly Stoopid: This California band on its summer tour is spreading a simple message about marijuana: Legalize it.

Their sentiment is no surprise. After all, this is a band that called its last album “Slightly Not Stoned Enough to Eat Breakfast Yet Stoopid.”

Expect to see the group play its blend of reggae and punk through a thick haze when it hits Redmond this weekend.

6 p.m. Saturday, Concerts at Marymoor, 6046 W. Lake Sammamish Parkway NE, Redmond; $36; ticketmaster.com or 800-745-3000.

The Offspring: These punk rockers are gearing up to release the follow-up to their 2008 comeback album, “Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace.”

The group is working on music for a yet-to-be-named album, which may see release this year.

Fans could get an early taste of new songs on Tuesday when The Offspring hits Seattle.

8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Showbox SoDo, 1700 First Ave. S., Seattle; $35; ticketmaster.com or 800-745-3000.

Psychedelic Furs: This 1980s band is probably best known for its connection to director John Hughes.

The group played the title song to his teen comedy “Pretty in Pink.”

Granted, that wasn’t the band’s only hit single. “Love My Way,” “Heartbreak Beat” and “Until She Comes” also climbed the charts.

The English band may play all those tracks as it continues to tour on the weight of its greatest hits.

8:30 p.m. Saturday, Showbox SoDo, 1700 First Ave. S., Seattle; $24; ticketmaster.com or 800-745-3000.

Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings: Old-school soul lives in the music of Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings.

The critically heralded group is now touring behind its April album, “I Learned the Hard Way,” which pays faithful homage to the group’s 1960s and 1970s influences.

7 p.m. Monday, Showbox SoDo, 1700 First Ave. S., Seattle; $23.50; ticketmaster.com or 800-745-3000.
