Stroll Coupeville galleries during Saturday walk

Downtown Coupeville hosts an art walk from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday.

Twelve venues will be open, including the Island County Historical Museum, which will show a selection of studio-edition art glass by Dale Chihuly in the museum gift store. Admission to the museum is free during the art walk.

Also open on Saturday are Ann’s Coup d’Art, Angelie’s Interiors and Gifts, Atelier Michele-Studio and Gallery, the Bayleaf Deli, Blue Heron Studio and Gallery, the Coupeville Antique Mall and One More Thing.

Penn Cove Antique Mall and The Stray Dog, Penn Cove Gallery, Whidbey Panorama Gallery, Windjammer Gallery and Custom Framing and Woodcraft of a Simpler Time.

Happy birthday: Monroe artist Genevieve Tuck is the featured artist for June at the Arts of Snohomish Galley.

Tuck, an oil painter, is one of the best-known artists in the county. A former Snohomish County Artist of the Year, she has been painting for decades and will celebrate her 96th birthday at a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. June 12 at the gallery.

The show will be on view beginning Wednesday and runs through July 5.

Arts of Snohomish is an artists’ cooperative located in the old Carnegie building at 105 Cedar St. in Snohomish. The gallery is opening daily and an exhibit of Tuck’s paintings will be on view until July 5. Information, 360-568-8648, www.artsofsnohomish.org.

Gallery walk: Anacortes hosts its First Friday gallery walk from 6 to 9 tonight in the downtown area. Seven shops will be showing a variety of paintings and photographs.

Participating merchants include Gallery at the Depot at 611 R Ave. and the Bowman Gallery at 801 Fifth St. The others, all located on Commercial Avenue, are the Anne Martin McCool Gallery, Insights Gallery, the Scott Milo Gallery, Star Bar Cafe and Adrift.
