Take a tour of local birthing centers

If you’re planning to have a baby or planning to plan to have a baby, you might want to take a look at the various maternity centers in the area. They all offer free tours of the birthing facilities. Here are upcoming dates for free tours:

Cascade Valley Hospital

330 S. Stillaguamish, Arlington

The Family Birthing Center offers private tours of the center by calling 360-618-7754.

Providence Regional Medical Center

The Pavilion for Women &Children, 900 Pacific Ave., Everett

A free 30-minute guided tour of the Family Maternity Center:

• 10:45 to 11:15 a.m. or 11:30 a.m. to noon Oct. 3 and 17, Nov. 7 and 21, and Dec. 5 and 19.

• 7 to 7:30 p.m. or 7:45 to 8:15 p.m. Oct. 27, Nov. 17 and Dec. 19.

Skagit Valley Hospital

Free tours of the Skagit Valley Hospital Family Birth Center:

• 1 to 2 p.m. Sept 29 and Oct. 27

• 6 to 7 p.m. Oct. 9.

Swedish Medical Center

Have a Happy Birth Day free tour of Swedish/Edmonds Birth and Family Clinic, 7 p.m. Oct. 23.

Whidbey General Hospital

Whidbey Family Birthplace offers childbirth education classes. You can get a personal tour of center by calling 360-678-5151, ext. 1300.

Valley General Hospital in Monroe no longer offers childbirth services.
