Monday’s highlights on TV include:
“Private Violence”: This timely, highly important 90-minute documentary examines the horrors of domestic abuse through the eyes of two female survivors. Presented during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the film sheds light on the complex, frustrating realities of the abuse women suffer every day at the hands of intimate partners, as well as the difficulties of prosecuting the cases and why it isn’t always easy for victims to simply “walk away.” 9 p.m., HBO.
It’s shades of the Ebola crisis on “The Blacklist” as the FBI targets a group of eco-terrorists who might be planning to unleash a strain of the Black Plague upon the world. 10 p.m., NBC.
“Hungry Games”: Well, at least the bazillionth food series to hit the small screen has a clever-ish title. 8 p.m., Food.
“The Millers”: If you would have told me this sitcom would get a second season, I would have laughed in your face. “Ha!” I would have said. Yet, Season 2 begins Monday. 8:30 p.m., CBS.
