Theater, dance and comedy shows around Snohomish County

The listings include Historic Everett Theatre, Edmonds Center for the Arts and Thumbnail Theater shows.

Village Theatre: Everett Performing Arts Center, 2710 Wetmore Ave.; 425-257-8600; www.villagetheatre.org/everett. The 2021-2022 season includes: “Mama Mia!,” “Hello, Dolly!,” “Deathtrap,” “Making Tracks” and “Ain’t Misbehavin’.” Season tickets for all five shows are $130-$390.

Phoenix Theatre: 9673 Firdale Ave., Edmonds; 206-533-2000; www.tptedmonds.org. ​Phoenix Theatre’s 2021-2022 season includes “The Miser,” “Inspecting Carol,” “37 Postcards,” “Mama Won’t Fly” and “Skin Flick.” Season tickets for all five performances are $110 for adults and $98 for seniors, students and military.

Red Curtain: The Red Curtain Arts Center, 9315 State Ave., Suite J, Marysville (in the Goodwill shopping center, behind the Everett Community College cosmetology school); 360-322-7402; www.redcurtainfoundation.org. Red Curtain’s 2021-2022 season includes “And Then There Were None,” “Miracle on 34th Street,” “She Kills Monsters,” “As You Like It,” “The Rememberer,” “Into the Woods” and “Legendary Tales: Heroes and Monsters.” Season tickets for all seven shows are $125 for adults or $105 for seniors, students and military.

COMEDY

Everett Comedy Night: Everett comedian Cory Michaelis hosts a second-Sunday monthly comedy night. The headliner for the virtual Jan. 10 show is Taylor Clark. Tickets are $10. All ages. The Zoom event is 8 to 9:30 p.m. and features local comedians. You will be emailed a Zoom link two hours before the show with registration. Northshore Performing Arts Foundation: The Northshore Performing Arts Foundation in Bothell presents “That’s a Musical?” 7 p.m. Jan. 10 via Facebook. This livestream show is part of Northshore’s January with John series. John Lehrack’s series features lesser known Broadway gems. Watch the show for free at www.facebook.com/NPAFoundation. “HYPROV: Improv Under Hypnosis”: Improvisational comedian Colin Mochrie and hypnotist Asad Mecci will perform 7:30 p.m. March 5 at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Avenue N., Edmonds. Volunteers from the audience will be put under hypnosis by Mecci, their inhibitions evaporated and their minds no longer their own. Then, Mochrie, a “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” star, takes the stage with the volunteers to perform an improv show like no other. Tickets are $24-$59. More at www.edmondscenterforthearts.org.

Best of Seattle Comedy: Stand-up comedians from the Seattle International Comedy Competition will perform at 8 p.m. March 20 at the Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave, Everett. The headliner has yet to be announced. Tickets are $25. Call 425-258-6766 or go to www.yourhet.org.

Chad Prather: The comedian, armchair philosopher, musician and observational humorist will perform 7 p.m. March 27 at the Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave., Everett.
