“42nd Street”: Watch a filmed production of the Broadway musical “42nd Street” — featuring the songs “Lullaby of Broadway,” “We’re in the Money,” “42nd Street” — March 13-14 at Whidbey Island Center for the Arts, 565 Camano Ave., Langley. Everett’s Got Talent: The Historic Everett Theatre is hosting a talent contest for which video auditions must be submitted by May 21 to enter. The three categories are: 9 to 17 years old, 18 to 29 years old and 30 and older. Fans and judges will choose the top 40-50 contestants for a live contest Aug. 21 and 22 at the 118-year-old theater, 2911 Colby Ave, Everett. The winner from each age category will receive a $500 cash prize, with the overall winner receiving $1,000, as well as a front of the line passes for “America’s Got Talent,” “The Voice,” “American Idol” and/or NBC’s “Little Big Shots.” Go to www.yourhistoriceveretttheatre.org for more information.

Rhythm of the Dance: The Everett Historic Theatre presents a Rhythm of the Dance livestream performance 5 p.m. March 14 via Watch Live. Now celebrating its 20th anniversary, Rhythm of the Dance is internationally rated as one of the most popular Irish step dance shows in the world. Tickets are $17.50. Registration is required. COMEDY
Everett Comedy Night: Everett comedian Cory Michaelis hosts a second-Sunday monthly comedy night. The headliner for the virtual March 14 show is Joe Larson. Tickets are $10. All ages. The Zoom event is 8 to 9:30 p.m. and features local and touring comedians. This show is a fundraiser for Cascade High School seniors and soccer players. Andy Gross: A stand-up comic, magician and ventriloquist, Andy Gross will perform 7:30 p.m. April 9 at the Everett Historic Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave., Everett. You may recognize him from his numerous TV appearances, including most recently “The Ellen Show” and an NBC television special featuring his talents. Tickets are $27-$30. The Capitol Steps: This troupe of former congressional staffers travels the country satirizing the politicians who once employed them. And almost no one is funnier than a politician.
