Wooden O/Seattle Shakespeare: The company will perform “Much Ado About Nothing” at 7 p.m. July 20 at the Lynndale Park Amphitheater, 18927 72nd Ave. W., Lynnwood. Admission is free. Shakespeare’s screwball comedy features the bantering of two of his cleverest characters. For Beatrice and Benedick love is a game of wits played with guarded hearts.

Last Leaf does Shakespeare: Last Leaf Productions’ 19th season of bringing the Bard to parks features performances of the fast and furious “The Comedy Of Errors.” Free local shows (about an hour long) include 7:30 p.m. July 20, Mukilteo’s Rosehill Community Center; and 4 p.m. Aug. 6, North Cove Park in Lake Stevens. In the play, Antipholus and his sidekick Dromio find themselves in Ephesus, where a hilarious day of mistaken identities and giddy confusion ensues. More information is at www.lastleaf99.org.

Red Curtain: The Red Curtain Arts Center, 9315 State Ave., Suite J, Marysville (in the Goodwill shopping center, behind the Everett Community College cosmetology school). Local dramatists and comedians Nick Poling and Alex De Roest (the minds behind Red Curtain’s “Santa Claus Conquers the Martians”) will present an original comedy radio show, “Damien Anto, Master Thief,” at 8 p.m. July 21 and 22. Admission is $12. In this tale of adventure and crime set in 18th century Europe, we follow Damien, a world-famous burglar, accompanied by his skittish servant, Sganarelle, as they break into the manors of nobles, run from the law and race rivals to the greatest treasure of all time.

“Last Romance”: Phoenix Theatre, Tim Noah’s Thumbnail Theater and the Snohomish Theater Project offer this comedy by Joe Pietro at 7:30 p.m. July 22, and at 4 p.m. July 23. Directed by Eric Lewis. The story involves Ralph, a widower, whose daily walk leads him to a second chance at love. Tickets are $15 at the door, Thumbnail Theater, 1211 Fourth St., Snohomish, or at www.brownpapertickets.com.

The cast includes Emma Hanson, Drew Winston, Erik Ortiz, Toni Cardin, Steven Ortiz, Josh Quiring, Freja Jorgensen and Jacob Lande.

Edmonds Driftwood Teen Troupe: “Honk,” the musical adaptation of “The Ugly Duckling” is presented at 8 p.m. July 21-22 and 2 p.m. July 22-23. Olympic Ballet Theatre: The company opens its 37th season with an all-new Summer Gala performance, featuring samples of OBT’s diverse repertoire, at 7 p.m. July 29, Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N.
