“Conspiracy Theories”: Edmonds Driftwood Players and Phoenix Theatre have joined up to present a 24-hour play festival Sept. 30. Ticket holders get performances snacks at both theaters and admission to the casting assignment event the evening before. Four playwrights, four directors and 12 actors will, in 24 hours, write, rehearse and perform four plays at each venue. Act 1 begins at 6 p.m. Sept. 30 at Phoenix, 9673 Firdale Ave., and Act 2 is at 7:30 p.m. at Driftwood, 950 Main St. Tickets are $25 and include hors d’oeuvres and desserts. Outcast Players: The male and the female versions of Neil Simon’s “The Odd Couple” will be presented on alternating nights Sept. 21 through Oct. 8 at the Historic Everett Theatre. Shows are Thursdays at 7 p.m. (two-for-one senior night), Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Tickets are $12. Call 425-258-6766.

Ken Ludwig’s “Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery,” directed by Paul Fouhy, runs through Sept. 24. Tickets are $28 general admission, and $25 for seniors, juniors and miltary. Season tickets are still on sale.

Red Curtain: The Red Curtain Arts Center, 9315 State Ave., Suite J, Marysville (in the Goodwill shopping center, behind the Everett Community College cosmetology school). Phoenix Theatre: The comedy theater is at 9673 Firdale Ave., Edmonds. Call 206-533-2000 or go to www.phoenixtheatreedmonds.org. Season 10 tickets are now available via the website. “Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike” will be presented Oct. 6-29.

Village Theatre: Everett Performing Arts Center, 2710 Wetmore Ave.; 425-257-8600 or www.villagetheatre.org/everett. “Into the Woods” Oct. 27-Nov. 19. Season tickets still available.

“Dance with Death”: A Murder Mystery Dinner Theater at the Marysville Opera House is set for 6:30 p.m. Sept. 23 at the opera house, 1225 Third St., Marysville. Tickets are $45, with a maximum of six people to a table. Limited seating. Call 360-363-8400 or go to www.marysvillewa.gov. When murder strikes at the sock hop, the night turns into a party foul. Whodunit? Come dressed in ’50s attire and hairdos. Enjoy a three-course catered dinner. Interrogate the suspects, gather clues and help the mystery experts crack the case before the killer gets away.

META Performing Arts: “Stand and Deliver” will be performed Sept. 29 through Oct. 14 at the Lincoln Theatre, 712 First St., Mount Vernon. The regional theater company is producing the play, which tells the story of teacher Jaime Escalante and his mission to challenge his students to rise to their full potential. Comedy

Improv Comedy Night: Held on third Saturdays. The next one is 7 p.m. Sept. 16 at Cafe Zippy, 1502 Rucker Ave., Everett. Free.
