Monroe’s Evergreen State Fairgrounds is best known for its late-summer fair.
But this weekend, the venue will host a Spring Recreation Expo as a prefair warm-up.
Families will find a climbing wall, carnival, ski ramp, car show and auto races on Saturday and Sunday.
“Recreation is an important component to healthy families and a healthy lifestyle,” Evergreen State Fairgrounds manager Mark Campbell said.
“We hope the Spring Recreation Expo brings people together and connects them to the wide variety of activities, sites, groups and opportunities that exist in our community.”
Most activities will be within or near the Commercial Building and the Display Hall.
Speakers will presents talks on topics such as kayaking and wilderness survival at indoor and outdoor stages.
