Tim Noah and The Thumbnail Theater are presenting a special performance of their sweet show “True Love” to help celebrate the Snohomish Wine Festival’s inaugural event Saturday.
This Kaddywompas Country Store and Curiosity Shop Valentine Radio Show will star Noah, an Emmy-award winning songwriter and producer, as host and will include lots of shtick, songs and storytelling.
Noah said “True Love” will delight with familiar tunes, including a medley of songs like “Dream, Dream, Dream,” along with favorites by Johnny Cash and James Taylor, such as “How Sweet it Is To Be Loved By You” and “Shower the People.”
Guests also will hear original music such as the show’s title tune, “True Love,” which Noah wrote for his parents.
Like a take on “Prairie Home Companion,” this live radio-show type program also features humor and storytelling with themes of love’s foibles, all presented in the intimate setting of Thumbnail’s 100-year-old historical building.
Desserts will be served during intermission.
“True Love” will be staged at 8 p.m. Saturday at Tim Noah Thumbnail Theater, 1211 Fourth St., Snohomish.
Tickets are $12 to $15. Call 360-568-9412 or go to www.brown papertickets.com. The show is geared toward 7-year-olds and older.
