Violet Fields, a variety store in Langley on Whidbey Island, is nested on the east end of First Street. The store offers an inviting atmosphere peppered with gift, garden and seasonal items. Bob, the resident shop cat, liked the store so much that he hasn’t left since his arrival more than five years ago. Owner Charlotte Hill fills the store’s nooks and crannies with great items including baby gifts, bed and bath items, gifts for gardeners and beautiful home decorating items.

Bathe by candlelight: Pure shea butter soaps by Mistral are made according to a 300-year old tradition in Provence, France.
