On May 23, 1960, Israeli Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion announced the capture of former Nazi official Adolf Eichmann, who had been hiding in Argentina. (Eichmann was tried in Israel, found guilty of crimes against humanity, and hanged in 1962.)
