Take a walk, probably not in the rain, to tour seven rain gardens in Everett’s Northwest Neighborhood on Tuesday night.
The Twilight Rain Garden Tour, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., begins with a short presentation at Everett Community College’s Senate Room, 2206 Tower St., Everett.
Experts from the Snohomish Conservation District will talk about the value of rain gardens to combat flooding problems and water pollution, and demonstrate how homeowners can make rain gardens in their own yards.
Put on your walking shoes and dress for the weather for the second annual event, which is sponsored by the WSU Snohomish County Extension, along with Snohomish Conservation District and the city of Everett.

The WSU Snohomish County Extension is also offering free workshops: “Put Your Garden to Bed and Get Ready for the Rain” from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 16, and a rain garden design session from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 23.
Both are at Legion Hall, 145 Alvereson Blvd., Everett.
