Shoot: The Granite Falls Sportsmen’s Club spring turkey shoot is on Sunday. Novice to experienced shooters can try using shotguns to hit clay turkey targets during the event, set to begin at 10 a.m. at 20319 Gun Club Road. Sharp shooters can win a frozen turkey or ham. Bingo games, door prizes and a raffle are also planned as part of the event. Read the rest of the details in our story here.

Tour green homes: The Whidbey Watershed Stewards tour of five homes and two businesses is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Some of the homes have solar heating panels, geothermal heaters and green-roof designs. Find more information in our story here.
