Two well-known comedy troupes will make stops at Comcast Arena Everett in the coming months.
“You’ve Got Hate Mail,” a spoof on modern-day technology starring Billy Van Zandt and Jane Milmore, pokes fun at how tweets, texts and tech have worked their way into our everyday lives.
The show includes bits and bytes about online breakups, stray emails and smartphones that wind up reducing the overall IQ, producers say.
Now in its second year playing off-Broadway, the show has received positive reviews — on Facebook and in print.
It’s scheduled for 8 p.m. April 28 at the Conference Center at Comcast Arena Everett. Tickets are $30 for general admission, $40 for VIP.
Then, just before the November presidential election, the Capitol Steps bring their “Desperate Housemembers” show to the arena on Oct. 24.
The Capitol Steps have a three-decade history of politically charged humor. They’ve been featured on the major TV networks and are often heard on NPR.
The show is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Oct. 24. Tickets are $40 for general admission.
Tickets for both shows are available at www.comcastarenaeverett.com or charge by phone at 866-332-8499.
