The party and the music won’t wait until nighttime to get started on Sunday as Hewitt Avenue will be shut down between Lombard and Broadway for a block party leading up to the big show, featuring Martina McBride and Mark Wills at the Everett Events Center.
The party starts at 3 p.m. and continues until showtime at 7:30. Admission is free and you don’t need a ticket to the concert to attend the block party.
Live local bands, including Ace Is Up, Tara McCormick, Nathan Chance, Black Rein and FloTones, will provide the music. There will also be karaoke, a mechanical bull and other interactive games, including a slap-shot game hosted by the Everett Silvertips.
Food and drinks will be available, including an adult lounge area featuring a variety of libations, including specialty martinis.
Country music radio stations KMPS and The Wolf will broadcast live from the event.
