Hey, parents, are your kids at that point in their summer vacations where they are using those three evil words: “I am bored”?
Well, there’s still time and space for them to get into the summer camp act by enrolling in Village Theatre’s well-known youth education program, Kidstage.
Summer camp at Kidstage in Everett guides students under the broad program categories of Skills for Theatre and Skills for Life, and offers these skills through dozens of camps and classes throughout the year.
The camps enroll kids who are from prekindergarten age to 20 years old. Some of the camp titles include “Adventures in Narnia,” “Hogwarts — Dumbledore’s Final Army” and “Trolls and Fairies.”
Those camps are:
•Early acting half-day camps, Literature and Life Skills for prekindergarten to third grade.
Acting half-day and full-day camps, grades three to 12.
Musical theater half-day camps, grades one to five.
Musical theater half-day and all-day camps, grades four to 12.
All camps meet at the Everett Performing Arts Center, 2710 Wetmore Ave., Everett. Some camps are held in partnership with The Dance School at 2821 Rockefeller Ave., Everett.
The tuition for half-day camps is $100 to $145; for all day camps it’s $145 to $260.
The duration of the camps vary so check the Everett summer camp schedule at tinyurl.com/42zkrr3 for details.
