Many people are interested in vegetarian food but aren’t sure what to eat, where to buy it or how to cook it.
Get in touch with your inner vegetarian this weekend at Vegfest 2009, one of the largest vegetarian food festivals in the country, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall.
Taste free food samples, see cooking demonstrations and hear medical doctors talk about nutrition and health. There will also be many books for sale and a food-tasting area just for kids with clowns and face painting.
Admission is $7 general, free for kids age 12 and younger. See www.Vegfest2009.org for more information or call Vegetarians of Washington at 206-706-2635.
