Big ideas: TEDx comes to Snohomish County on Friday. There’s a wait list for seats at the event in Edmonds but you can still join in. There are live video broadcast sites around the county or you can catch it online at sno-isle.org/tedx.
Rock show: The Maplewood Rock and Gem Club Fall Show is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at 8802 196th St. SW, Edmonds. Free. There will be displays, demonstrations, raffles, sales and more.
Beach walk: Friends of Camano Island Parks members will lead a guided community walk through Cama Beach State Park, starting at 9:50 a.m. Saturday from the junction of Ivy and Dry Lake roads. Walking routes are 3 miles to 4.4 miles. Trail booklets and maps are a $1 suggested donation.
Click: Kenmore Camera’s Digital Expo is 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Lynnwood Convention Center, 3711 196th St. SW. Vendors will show the latest equipment and there will be free seminars and lectures.
Holiday head-start: The Northwest Artists’ Holiday Show is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Edmonds Unitarian Universalist Church, 8109 224th St. SW, Edmonds. More than 50 local artists will be selling pottery, fine art, photography, jewelry, clothing and more. Admission is $3, which includes parking and childcare.
Bzzz: Learn how to host Mason bees in your backyard at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Mukilteo Library. These bees are easy to attract, are non-stinging and are excellent pollinators. For all ages. Register online at www.sno-isle.org or by phone at 425-493-8202.
Beer and ice cream: Lynnwood’s Stogies N Hops will host New Belgium Brewing and Ben &Jerry’s Ice Cream for an ice cream social/beer pairing at 1 p.m. Saturday at 526 164th St SW, Lynnwood. Pair beers with ice cream for boozy and fun beer floats.
