Meet Kathleen Kok, curator of the quilt museum, and learn about the construction of quilts, how designs have changed and the ways quilters have used available materials at a reception 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 19 at the gallery. Opening reception for Daniel Neish’s “Circles-Lines-Pansies” is 1 p.m. Feb. 8. Neish lives in Seattle and teaches painting, ceramics, and drawing at Edmonds Community College. Neish’s most current work continues his exploration of that which is personal and pertinent to his life. His abstract painting emphasizes ideas and imagery that originate visually from everyday experiences.

Sno-Isle Libraries is inviting artists to submit design concepts for an outdoor sculpture for the north side of the Camano Island Library. Preference will be given to artists from Camano Island or Stanwood. The Camano Island Library Art Committee will select the final design. The submission deadline is 4 p.m. March 2.
