Phoenix Theatre: The comedy theater is at 9673 Firdale Ave., Edmonds; 206-533-2000 or www.phoenixtheatreedmonds.org. “The Dixie Swim Club” will be produced from June 3 to 26.

Edmonds Driftwood Players: Wade James Theatre, 950 Main St., Edmonds; www.edmondsdriftwoodplayers.org or 425-774-9600, option 3.

“Suite Surrender,” an homage to the farces of the 1930s and ‘40s, June 10 to 26. Starring Driftwood regulars Cindy Giese French, Melody Mistlin, Justin Tinsley, Jason Bradford, Ryan St. Martin, Greg Cochran and new faces Mary Sabetto, Jennie Babcock and Kate Wirth.

The Festival of Shorts is July 8-10, featuring short plays by playwrights from around the country. Audiences pick the winner.

“Billy Elliot,” the Broadway sensation, with music by Elton John, plays July 8 to 31.

Red Curtain: Red Curtain Foundation for the Arts, a nonprofit arts education organization, has launched an effort to create an arts center in Marysville. For more information, go to www.redcurtainfoundation.org. The 2016-2017 season at the Red Curtain Community Arts Center features three plays carried over from the interrupted 2015-2016 season — “The Fantasticks,” “Arsenic and Old Lace” and “You Can’t Take It With You” — along with “Santa Claus Conquers the Martians,” “A Streetcar Named Desire” and “Noises Off!” Tickets are $17 for adults, $14 for seniors/students/military and $5 for children. Season tickets, on sale now, are $92 for adults and $75 for seniors, students and military personnel.

Dance

Reflections School of Dance: The school presents its annual recital, “Colors,” at 3 p.m. June 18, Everett Civic Auditorium, 2415 Colby Ave. Recital tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students and seniors; www.reflectionsschoolofdance.com.

Barclay Shelton Dance Centre: The school presents its 2016 Summer Revue, “Showtime!” at 7 p.m. June 24 to 25, Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N., Edmonds; www.edmondscenterforthearts.org.

Mountlake Terrace Dance Academy: “The Wizard of Oz” is the year-end recital, to be performed at noon June 11 and then at 4 p.m. that day at the Mountlake Terrace High School theater, 21801 44th Ave. W. Tickets, $12, will be available for sale an hour before show time.

Youth productions

Ludus Performing Arts: The musical “Mary Poppins” will be performed at 7 p.m. July 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 28, 29 and 30, and at 2 p.m. July 16, 17, 24 and 30, all at the PUD theater, 2320 California St., Everett. For tickets, call 425-239-6627.
