Swedish pop singer Robyn returns Tuesday with “Body Talk, Pt. 2,” the follow-up to her acclaimed summer album, “Body Talk Pt. 1.”
TRIVIA: When she was 12, Robyn recorded the theme song for “Lilla Sportspegeln,” a children’s sports show in Sweden.
STANDOUT: Lead single “Hang With Me” glistens with midtempo synthesizers.
FANS DIG: Platinum blonde hair.
ANDY SAYS: It’s hard to believe Lady Gaga tops the charts in America while Robyn barely makes a blip. A phenomenon overseas, she makes another strong grab for an American audience here. She trades verses with Snoop Dogg on the endearingly profane “U Should Know Better” and loads on the synthesizers everywhere else. It’s anyone’s guess if this will be the album that puts her over the top, but it’s certainly a worthwhile effort.
