Hard cider festival
Sample from a selection of hard ciders made in the Pacific Northwest — and one from France — at the Snohomish Hard Cider Festival, 6 to 9 p.m. May 10 at Craven Farm, 13817 Short School Road, Snohomish.
Tickets for the event are $25 and include five tasting tokens and an appetizer plate prepared by Snohomish’s 907 Bar &Grill. Guests can purchase cider to take home.
The ciders to be featured include selections from 2 Towns Ciderhouse, Finnriver Farm and Cidery, Schilling Cider, Reverend Nat’s Hard Cider, Ace Cider, Sea Cider Farm &Ciderhouse, Lantz Cellars, Montana CiderWorks and Blanc &Rouge pouring a French import.

The event is sponsored by the Snohomish Kiwanis Club, and proceeds benefit Kiwanis youth programs.
Hot Glass, Cold Beer
JMariotts Pier Seven Glaswerks in La Conner and Bothell’s Foggy Noggin Brewing are teaming up to provide a glass and something to put in it with a night of artisan beer, music and live glassblowing from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at the La Conner glass shop, 128 First St, La Conner.
All participants will receive their own hand-blown beer glass to keep, and enjoy generous pours of Foggy Noggins brews, while enjoying a live glassblowing demonstration. Tickets, $60 each, for this event are limited and must be purchased in advance (no tickets sold at event) by calling 360-630-5921.
