To have a little more fun while the production of “The Who’s Tommy” runs, Village Theatre has partnered with Jillian’s in Seattle to create video game playoffs to find the best Xbox player in the area – one that might even rival Tommy.
The competition for the “gaming wizard” is an Xbox tournament open to all Washington state residents age 18 and older. No purchase is necessary to enter. Games to be played will be announced the day of the event.
Open rounds will be from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at Jillian’s, 731 Westlake Ave. N., Seattle. The final rounds will be June 4 on the set of “Tommy” at Village Theatre, 303 Front St. N., Issaquah.
The gaming wizard title comes with a variety of prizes: an Xbox 360 game package, including a game module and games, The Who music collection, four tickets to Village Theatre’s “Tommy” production and a private 30-minute pre-show backstage tour of Village Theatre.
Complete contest information and rules may be found at www.villagetheatre.org.
In Everett, “The Who’s Tommy” opens June 29 at Everett Performing Arts Center, 2710 Wetmore Ave., Everett, and runs through July 15. Tickets, from $22 to $44, are on sale now; 425-257-8600, 888-257-3722, www.villagetheatre.org.
