The village of Manchester on the south end of the Kitsap Peninsula offers amazing views of the Seattle skyline, Mount Rainier, Blake Island and Puget Sound.
Enjoy a waterfront picnic area, public beach access and two docks for short-term moorage if you are arriving by boat. Nearby Manchester State Park has camping. The Manchester Grill restaurant has comfort food and a covered porch overlooking the water.
To drive there, take the Edmonds-Kingston ferry and head south around Bremerton and Port Orchard or take the Fauntleroy ferry to Southworth and drive north to Manchester. More at www.manchesterwa.org.
