Whoo-hoo: A night out for parents doesn’t necessarily mean a sitter for the kids.
The Everett Family branch of the YMCA wants kids ages 6 weeks to 12 years to come and play on Friday night “Date Night,” from 5 to 10 p.m., featuring crafts, games and prizes; swimming for ages 7 and up (bring your suit); and playtime in the Adventure Zone. Dinner and snacks are provided.
But the fun won’t stop there. “Kids Night Out” will pick up where “Date Night” leaves off, from 10 p.m. Friday to 8:30 a.m. Saturday for first- through fifth-graders. Bring sleeping bags, pillows, a change of clothing and toiletries.
Costs vary for members and nonmembers for each event, and depending on the number of kids. Call the Y or check the Web site.
