Plastic eggs filled with candy and prizes will be hidden all over Snohomish County this weekend in celebration of Easter on April 21. Here is a list of egg hunts in the county to get hopping to. Most events will happen rain or shine.
In addition to the egg hunts, the 39th annual Snohomish Easter Parade is set for 11 a.m. April 20, beginning on Union Street and finishing at First Street and Avenue E. The Easter Bonnet Contest is open to anyone from 1 to 99, as well as pets. Pre-registration for the contest is not required. Call 425-344-8533.
■ City egg hunt, 11 a.m. April 20, Arlington Airport, 48th Drive NE. Kids can win prizes such as gift cards and art supplies from the Arlington Arts Council. Arlington United Church will provide hot chocolate and cookies. Pictures with the Easter Bunny. More at https://bit.ly/2IvNupS.
■ 9:45 a.m. April 21, Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 615 E. Highland Drive. The hunt is for toddlers through fifth grade. Meet in the church’s gymnasium. Call 360-435-8921.
■ 10 a.m., Brier Park, 2903 228th St. SW. Ages 3-10 can search for thousands of eggs filled with candy and prizes. Starts will be staggered for different age groups. Canned foods will be collected for the local food bank.
■ Daybreakers Rotary egg hunt, 10 a.m. April 20, Frances Anderson Field, 700 Main St. Ages 3-10, split into three groups. The scramble includes chocolate eggs, candy and prizes. The Easter Bunny also will be available for pictures. Fire District 1 firefighters will give truck tours. Bring non-perishable food or cash donations for the Edmonds Food Bank. ■ Mukilteo firefighters’ egg hunt, 10:30 a.m. April 20, Mukilteo Elementary and Olympic View Middle School fields, 2600 Mukilteo Speedway. There will be 4,000 eggs filled with candy or prize claim tickets for ages 1-10.
