EVERETT — A man was injured in a blaze that destroyed a house near Everett Friday evening.
He and at least two others have been displaced from their home.
Multiple people called for help around 7:45 p.m. The house along 89th Street SE was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived, said Leslie Hynes, a spokeswoman with Snohomish County Fire District 1.
It was too dangerous for firefighters to go inside the house, Hynes said. The roof and upper floor had collapsed, so they extinguished the flames from outside.
The injured man was taken to the hospital. His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
The American Red Cross is helping those who were living in the home to find temporary housing.
The Snohomish County fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
