LYNNWOOD — An estimated 100 handguns were reported stolen today from displays at Lynnwood Gun and Ammunition, Lynnwood police spokeswoman Shannon Sessions said.
Local police notified the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives about the burglary, which may have happened Thursday night or early this morning, Sessions said.
“Anytime weapons are stolen, it’s alarming,” Sessions said.
Lynnwood police responded to the reported burglary about noon today. They were still at the store collecting evidence after 4 p.m., Sessions said.
“There’s no video available, or any still photography,” Sessions said.
The owner of the store was inventorying his stock, Sessions said. He declined to comment after being reached by telephone.
The police do not have any suspects, Sessions said.
Lynnwood Gun and Ammunition is located in the 20800 block of Highway 99.
