11 DUI suspects cited in county on Super Bowl Sunday

The Washington State Patrol picked up 11 suspected drunken drivers in Snohomish County during Super Bowl Sunday emphasis patrols.

That’s nearly twice as many as a regular Sunday so far this year, Trooper Keith Leary said Monday.

In Snohomish County, officers from nine local police departments joined troopers and sheriff’s deputies in the patrols. Having extra cops on the road helps prevent fatal and serious-injury crashes, Leary said.
