SEATTLE — The Washington health exchange says about 13,000 customers had an incorrect amount taken out of their bank accounts to pay their insurance premium this month.
The CEO of the Health Benefit Exchange told KIRO-TV that they are working with their computer company to fix the problem quickly. Richard Onizuka says they hope to reverse the incorrect withdrawals with the next 48 hours.
Some customers told the TV station they were billed triple the amount that was supposed to be taken out of their account, hundreds more than expected.
