SHERMAN, Texas — One more person has died in the crash of a charter bus in Texas, raising the toll to 14.
The crash early today injured at least 40 more in a group of Vietnamese Catholic worshippers on their way to an annual pilgrimage at a Missouri church.
Officials say the bus slammed onto its side and then skidded off a freeway early today near the Texas-Oklahoma line.
Sherman Fire Chief Jeff Jones says 12 people died on the scene and two in hospitals. At least six of the wounded were in critical condition.
The right front tire of the bus from Houston blew out, but officials were still investigating the cause of the accident.
