Everett: The Pacific Northwest Veterans Committee of the Boeing Co. plans two screenings of the award-winning documentary “In the Shadow of the Blade” at the Future of Flight Aviation Center and Boeing Tour. The film is scheduled to show at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday at the center, 8415 Paine Field Blvd. Admission is free. The documentary follows the cross-country journey of a restored UH-1 Huey helicopter into the back yards of Vietnam veterans and families to share their untold stories. National: For the seventh consecutive year, United Spinal Association and the White House Commission on Remembrance asks citizens to reflect upon the meaning of Memorial Day at 3 p.m. Monday, with a moment of silence, to honor those who gave their lives serving their country.
