EVERETT — Everett police on Monday were investigating the third shooting along W. Casino Road in a month.
Monday’s gunfire was reported around 7:50 p.m. in the 900 block of W. Casino Road, Everett police officer Aaron Snell said. Officers found a 15-year-old victim with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital. An update of his condition was not available Monday night.
Police were searching for a suspect and major crimes detectives were responding to the scene to collect evidence and question witnesses.
The assault may have started out as an argument, Snell said. Police had not confirmed some initial reports that the boy was the victim of a drive-by shooting.
No other details were immediately available.
Meanwhile, detectives continue to investigate two shootings on W. Casino Road that happened last month. An 18-year-old was shot on Sept. 9 outside The Bluffs apartments. About a week later, a 13-year-old was shot near the parking lot of a different apartment complex. Both teens survived.
Police have not said if the shootings are gang-related.
