About 185,000 absentee ballots are being sent to Snohomish County voters today.
But you may want to wait a while to vote.
The Herald will publish stories about contested Sept. 14 primary election races and issues starting Sunday.
County elections supervisor Carolyn Diepenbrock said Wednesday that about a sixth of absentee ballots normally are returned early the following week. But most are returned the day before the election and afterward.
About 58 percent of the county’s 327,614 registered voters vote by absentee ballot.
