GRANITE FALLS — A young woman is dead and a man injured after a truck and car collided near Granite Falls early Friday.
The woman, 19, was driving northbound in the 18200 block of Quarry Road. She reportedly turned in front of a southbound pickup truck without warning, said Shari Ireton, spokeswoman for the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
The truck’s driver, a man, 41, was taken to a nearby hospital. Information about the extent of his injuries was not immediately available. The woman died at the scene of the 3:45 a.m. crash.
More information, including the name of the woman who died, was pending an investigation by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.
