When searching through the vault, I sometimes stumble on an envelope title that truly puzzles me. This one simply had the word “micro-wave” and that it was photographed in August 1950. The photos inside weren’t of an early microwave oven, but of some people showing off what looks like a standard satellite dish. One of the photos shows the “micro-wave” dish attached to a large tripod on a car in downtown Everett. Could this have been early technology for transmitting data from the field?
So curious about what this is all about. If you have any info on this “micro-wave” let me know in the comments.
