SEATTLE — The federal government has announced $1 million in grants to support two new community health centers in Washington state.
The money will support Family Health Centers in Okanogan County and the North Olympic Healthcare Network in Port Angeles.
The Department of Health and Human Services announced a total of $101 million in grants to support 164 new community health centers Tuesday. The grants are associated with the Affordable Care Act and are designed to help the newly insured get easier access to health care.
Health officials say the new community health centers will provide care for more than 13,000 people.
