MUKILTEO — Two men have been arrested for investigation of robbing another man with his own gun.
The arrests stem from an Oct. 6 incident in Mukilteo.
The victim met with an acquaintance and agreed to sell his gun to one of his acquaintance’s friends. He got into the prospective buyer’s car, according to police reports.
In the car, the acquaintance allegedly placed a live round in the chamber and pointed it at the victim, Mukilteo police officer Colt Davis said.
He then allegedly asked, “How does it feel to get robbed with your own gun?” The acquaintance also is accused of taking the man’s cellphone before ordering him out of the car.
Mukilteo police officer Andrew Jones worked with the victim to identify the buyer through a Facebook search. Jones found multiple pictures of the buyer on Facebook holding various firearms, Davis said.
The suspects — an Everett man, 23, and Oak Harbor man, 21 — were booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of first-degree robbery. The suspect’s vehicle was impounded and a search warrant was being prepared Monday.
