CASTLE ROCK — Two fishermen dumped into Cowlitz River when their small boat capsized were pulled ashore by other fishermen on the river bank.
The Daily News of Longview reported that Ron Wagner, 67, and Jerry Schoonover, 64, wound up in the water Thursday afternoon about a mile from Castle Rock.
Schoonover says he and Wagner were out of the river in about 15 minutes. He was he was fearful because the current was strong, he can’t swim and he wasn’t wearing a life jacket.
The two were able to recover their boat with the help of others.
They didn’t catch any fish.
