EDMONDS — Two people were taken to the hospital after a fire at Edmonds apartment complex Saturday afternoon, officials said.
Just before 3 p.m., fire crews responded to the fire in the 8800 block of 236th Street SW, according to South County Fire. When they arrived, smoke was pouring out of the one-story complex. In total, more than 60 firefighters responded. It took crews nearly 40 minutes to get the two-alarm fire under control.
Firefighters took two adults to Swedish Edmonds with non-life threatening injuries, according to South County Fire. No firefighters were injured.
Fire and smoke damaged eight units, displacing 11 residents, fire officials said.
South County Fire was investigating the cause of the fire.
