EVERETT – Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies are looking for two armed men who reportedly barged into a Lynnwood area home this morning and tried to tie up the homeowner.
The man, 29, was sleeping on a couch. Just after 11 a.m. the robbers entered the home in the 16600 block of 48th Avenue W, Snohomish County sheriff’s Lt. Steve Dittoe said.
The two men, both wearing masks, demanded cash and access to a home safe, Dittoe said. They tried to tie the victim up with a zip tie and used an electronic stun gun on the man, but the homeowner fought back and the two men fled. The man wasn’t hurt.
They took the victim’s 1990 red Toyota Celica with a Washington license plate of either” 524-KZI” or “982-XHD.”
“If anyone sees that car I want them to call 911,” Dittoe said.
One of the suspects is described as white in his 30s. The other is described as having dark skin. Both are considered armed and dangerous.
Dittoe said it’s too early to know if this morning’s home-invasion robbery is related to a similar incident in Snohomish last week.
In that case, a Snohomish woman was tied up and placed in a bathroom in her home on Thursday. The suspects there were described as two men, one white, one black. No arrests have been made
Anyone with information in either case is asked to call 911 or the sheriff’s tip line at 425-388-3845.
