SEATTLE — King County Prosecutor Dan Satterberg says he will seek the death penalty in the Christmas Eve slayings of six members of a Carnation family last year.
Michele Anderson and Joseph McEnroe face charges of aggravated first-degree murder in the shootings of three generations of Anderson’s family: her parents, her brother and his wife, and her brother’s two young children. The defendants have pleaded not guilty, but Michele Anderson has said repeatedly she hopes to be executed.
Satterberg said he has been weighing the decision for 10 months and made his decision based on the magnitutde of the crimes.
